Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

About Our Practice

Do you accept insurance?

No. Compassion8Providers (C8Prov) is a cash-pay concierge healthcare practice. We do not bill insurance, submit insurance claims, or participate in insurance networks.

Clients may choose to use insurance independently for labs, imaging, or prescriptions when applicable.

Can I keep my insurance primary care provider (PCP)?

Yes. Clients are encouraged to maintain an in-network PCP for insurance-related needs such as referrals, prior authorizations, or insurance-required services while also receiving care through C8Prov.

Are you a Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice?

No. While C8Prov offers concierge-style care, we are not a Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice and do not function as an insurance replacement.

Concierge Membership & Visits

What is the difference between concierge membership and non-member visits?

  • Concierge membership provides ongoing access, continuity, and care coordination on a month-to-month basis.

  • Non-member visits are episodic, per-visit appointments for clients who prefer flexibility.

Both options are cash-pay and subject to clinic policies.

Is membership month-to-month?

Yes. Concierge memberships operate on a month-to-month basis and may be canceled with advance written notice in accordance with the membership agreement.

Can I switch between membership and non-member visits?

Possibly. Transitions between membership and non-member care are subject to clinic policies, availability, and administrative considerations.

Medications & Prescribing

Who manages my medications if I see more than one provider?

For safety and clarity, each medication or medication class is managed by one prescribing clinician. Duplicate or overlapping prescriptions from multiple providers are not permitted.

Do you prescribe controlled substances?

Certain regulated medications may be prescribed within scope and must be managed by a single designated prescriber.

C8Prov does not prescribe opioid medications.

Can I use insurance for prescriptions written by C8Prov?

In many cases, yes. Prescriptions written by C8Prov may be filled using insurance when applicable. However, C8Prov does not submit prior authorizations.

Any medication requiring insurance authorization must be managed by your in-network PCP or prescribing specialist.

Insurance & Administrative Services

Do you submit prior authorizations or referrals?

No. C8Prov does not submit prior authorizations, insurance appeals, or insurance-required referrals.

Clients who require these services should work with their in-network PCP or specialist.

Can you coordinate with my specialists?

Care coordination and communication may be provided within scope; however, insurance-related administrative tasks remain the responsibility of in-network providers.

Health Coaching

What is health coaching?

Health coaching is a non-clinical, educational service focused on lifestyle habits, goal setting, accountability, and general wellness support.

Health coaching does not provide healthcare treatment and is not a substitute for care from a licensed healthcare provider.

Is health coaching medical or nutrition therapy?

No. Health coaching:

  • Does not provide diagnosis or treatment

  • Does not include medical nutrition therapy

  • Does not provide individualized dietary prescriptions

  • Does not replace licensed dietitian or nutritionist services

Health coaching offers general nutrition education and food-awareness support only.

Do I have to be a C8Prov healthcare client to receive coaching?

No. Health coaching services are available to both healthcare clients and non-patients.

Services & Availability

Do you offer IV therapy?

IV therapy services are currently on hold. Clients will be notified if this service becomes available in the future.

Do you offer home visits?

Home visits are offered on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed. Availability depends on clinical appropriateness, scheduling, and geographic considerations.

Account Status & Policies

What happens if I stop responding to messages?

If a client does not respond to documented outreach:

  • The account may be placed on inactive status after 30 days

  • The account may be administratively closed after 60 days

Administrative closure does not prevent future re-engagement, subject to clinic policies.

Can I re-enroll after cancellation or closure?

Re-enrollment is not automatic and is subject to clinic approval, availability, and current policies. A cooling-off period and administrative fee may apply.

How is pricing structured?

C8Prov offers both concierge membership options and non-member episodic visits. Pricing is based on visit length, complexity, and administrative coordination. Current pricing is discussed prior to scheduling and may change with appropriate notice.

Terminology Note:

For clarity, the term “patient” refers to individuals receiving licensed healthcare services, while “client” refers to individuals receiving non-clinical or administrative services.
